"Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'" is the title of a song written by Ben Peters and recorded by Charley Pride. The song has since become one of his signature tunes and became his eighth song to reach number one on the country charts.[1] "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin" was also Charley Pride's first single to reach the pop charts, peaking at number twenty-one,[2] and also went into the Top Ten of the Adult Contemporary charts.

Content

A man and a woman are in love everyone wonders why he is so happy. He says that he gets to "kiss an angel good mornin'", referring to his lover.[3]
